Look closely at it. Look at Paul's comment. Watch as he's about to seemingly fall into the pool. Imagine John not being able to make it in time. Envision the ambulance running up the drive, and the paramedics running to Paul to try and revive him. Imagine them failing, and the three remaining band members proceed to cry over his corpse.
